Been having a great time shooting the Finding the Funk doc and today was a highlight. Spend a fun morning interviewing William ‘Bootsy’ Collins about working for James Brown, collaborating with George Clinton, the creation of the “Bootsy” persona and the state of funk today. His tales about his first bass and seeing Fela at the Shrine in Lagos will definitely be in the finished film.
